How To Make Caramel Apple Pops

Caramel Apple Pops

For your next get together with family or friends try making Caramel Apple Pops. They’re a fun twist on the original caramel apple. Sometimes whole apples are just too much after dinner or if you’re looking to serve finger foods. With caramel apple pops your guests can dip, cover, and top their bite size slices with an array of toppings.

Caramel Apple Pops Toppings

We melted down a loaf of Peter’s Caramel, sliced some Golden Delicious Apples, and made each slice into it’s own pop by adding bamboo skewers to each of them. We then let our guests dip their own slices into caramel and top them with whatever topping matched their creativity. We chose fall inspired toppings such as, toasted coconut, Reece’s Pieces, Butterfingers, crushed pretzels, sprinkles, and shredded coconut.

A note to help with your caramel apple pops is to dab your apple slices with a dry paper towel before serving to soak up surface moisture. If you are making the pops for your guests it helps to refrigerate each pop for roughly 30 minutes after dipped and covered with your choice of topping to allow the caramel to harden and prevent it from sliding off the pop. Keep refrigerated until it’s serving time!
