Smoked Apple Pie

Okay, confession, we definitely took the easy way out here and smoked a purchased pie. There are a million things to do for Thanksgiving, and making our pies is usually a tradition we love and look forward to every year. But sometimes ease and convenience wins over traditions.

Start with your favorite store-bought pie.

Follow the directions on the box, but instead of popping it in the oven, you stick it directly in the smoker.

This Caramel Apple Pie from Red Button was just the right smoked pie. The crumb topping and crust had a subtle but perfectly complimentary smokey flavor.

I 100% recommend you try smoking your next store bought pie to kick the flavor up that extra notch!
